Lighthouse in paradise

When my wife and I traveled to Jamaica this past April, we discovered that our resort had a non-functioning lighthouse perched at the edge of a manmade ledge. We never measured it, but we guesstimated that it was about 30‒35 feet from its edge to the Caribbean cove water below.

Of course, me being the not-often-but-at-that-time-macho person that I was, I decided to jump from this thing — twice. Not the smartest thing I’ve ever done, but it’s a story to tell anyhow nevertheless.
